Stop guessing what to do next.

GoGAINZ reads how you trained last time and pre-fills the next weight and rep target for your working sets. Open the exercise and the number to beat is already there.

You still control the workout. GoGAINZ just gives you a target worth chasing.

The targets come from your own sets

Not a percentage of a max you typed in once, and not a template someone else wrote. GoGAINZ looks at what you actually completed on that exercise last time and moves it forward by one honest step.

That is why the numbers stay believable. A target you have never been close to is a target you ignore, and an app you ignore is a logbook you stop opening.

Set by set, not one number for the whole exercise

Your third working set rarely looks like your first. Each one gets its own target, so a session that faded last week does not ask you to pretend it did not.

The numbers come to your wrist

Targets show on Apple Watch and Wear OS alongside the set you are logging, so the phone can stay in your pocket for the whole session.

You can overrule it, always

Type over the target, log something else entirely, or turn progression off in Settings. GoGAINZ records what you did, never what it suggested. Deloads, bad nights and injuries are part of training, and the app does not argue with them.

What is free and what is Premium

Free

Sets still pre-fill from your workout template or your last session, so you never type from zero.

Premium

Premium adds Progressive Overload itself: the computed next target, the Last time / Next target card, the per-set markers and the setting that tunes or disables it.

Premium is US$7.99/mo or US$49.99/yr after a 14-day free trial. Cancel in two taps. See what Premium costs.

Want a session written for you instead? That is the AI Workout Builder.

Progressive Overload: common questions

Is Progressive Overload free?
No, Progressive Overload is Premium. On the free tier, sets pre-fill from your workout template or your last session. Progressive Overload is what moves the target forward: the computed next weight and reps, the Last time / Next target card and the per-set markers. Premium starts with a 14-day free trial and cancels in two taps.
Where do the targets come from?
The sets you completed on that exercise, in your own logbook. There is no percentage chart and no starting questionnaire. If you have never trained a lift in GoGAINZ, there is nothing to build a target from yet, so log it once and the next session has one.
Do I have to follow the target?
No. It is a suggestion sitting in the field, not a rule. Type over it, log less, log more, or switch progression off entirely in Settings. Your log is what you did.
Does it work on Apple Watch and Wear OS?
Yes. The target numbers come through to both watches next to the set you are logging, so you can run the whole session from your wrist.
Does this mean GoGAINZ writes my training plan?
Not unless you ask it to. Progressive Overload only answers the small question you face standing in front of the bar: what should this set be today? If you do want a session written for you, that is the AI Workout Builder, and the AI Plan Generator will write you a whole split the same way. Both are separate features.

Know what to beat today.

The logbook is free forever. Progressive Overload is part of Premium, which starts with a 14-day free trial.
