About

One developer, one workout tracker.

GoGAINZ is a strength-training workout tracker for iPhone, Android, Apple Watch and Wear OS. It has 1,000+ exercises, 100+ ready-made workouts, and a free tier that is the whole logbook rather than a trial. It is built and maintained by one person, which is the best and the worst thing about it.

The developer
La100e Labs inc.

I built GoGAINZ because the tracker I used stopped getting updates, and I did not want to lose years of receipts to somebody else's roadmap. One dev, one app, no ad sales team to answer to.

“Will this get abandoned like the last one?”

Fair question, and the reason a lot of people are reading this page in the first place. The tracker you are on now probably did not announce that it was slowing down. It just stopped changing.

I cannot promise I will be here forever. Nobody honestly can. What I can do is make leaving cheap: every tier can export everything from Settings > Data & Privacy, in a format you can read without this app. No lock-in, no hostage situation. And the roadmap below carries dates, so you can check whether I am actually shipping instead of taking my word for it.

The other half of the answer is money. GoGAINZ is funded by Premium subscriptions, not ads and not selling training data. That is a small, boring, durable business model, and it means the incentive is to keep you happy rather than keep you scrolling.

Roadmap

What has shipped, what I am building, and what is queued behind it, in the order I expect to get to it. No dates: I am one person, and a date I miss would cost you more than the date was worth.

  1. Shipped

Apple Watch and Wear OS logging

Full app on the wrist. Log sets, track rest, move through exercises with the phone in your pocket.

  2. Shipped

    AI Workout Builder

Describe the session in plain language, get a workout built against your own history.

  3. Shipped

    Cross-platform sync

iPhone, Android and Watch stay in step. Log offline, sync when you surface.

  4. Building now

CSV import from Strong and Hevy

Bring your history with you. Switching trackers should not mean starting from zero. This is the one thing I get asked for most.

  5. Next up

Snap, paste or dictate a workout

Photograph a whiteboard, a notebook page or a screenshot, paste a list, or just say it out loud, and get it logged as written. Transcription, not generation. If it says 5×5 at 100kg, that is what you get.

  6. Next up

    AMRAP workouts

As many rounds as possible in a set time, scored properly. Today the app can only fake it with a fixed number of rounds, which is not what AMRAP means.

  7. Next up

Import from Fitbod, Jefit and generic CSV

Same importer, more source formats, once the Strong and Hevy paths are proven.

Want the import one specifically? Leave your email and you will hear from me the day it ships.
