GoGAINZ supports a bunch of set types because we know your workouts aren't always "3 sets of 10."
Available set types
- Straight: Your classic set. Nothing fancy, nothing wrong with that.
- Warmup: Tracked separately so it doesn't mess with your working set stats.
- Superset: Two exercises back to back with no rest. Pain, but efficient pain.
- Giant Set: Three or more exercises in a row. For when supersets aren't suffering enough.
- Drop Set: Reduce the weight, keep going. Repeat until your muscles file a complaint.
- Failure: Go until you physically cannot. We don't judge.
- Negative: Focus on the eccentric phase. Slow and controlled destruction.
- Circuit: All exercises in sequence, then repeat.
- EMOM: Every Minute on the Minute. Race the clock.
Creating supersets/giant sets
In the workout editor, toggle the grouping mode and select which exercises should be grouped together. GoGAINZ will guide you through them in sequence during the workout.
Tempo training
Want to control your rep speed? Tap the tempo field on any exercise. You can choose from presets (Controlled, Explosive, Slow Eccentric, etc.) or enter a custom tempo in the format 3-1-2-0 (eccentric-pause-concentric-pause in seconds).
